Tourist Say More To Do On Panama City Beach

For those looking to get closer to nature there are several state parks in the area waiting to be explored. St. Andrew’s State Park, where you can take a boat tour to Shell Island, Camp Helen State Park, and Point Washington State Forest. If you want to get up close with the animals, take a few hours to visit Zoo World or Gulf World. Want to stay cool visit, Shipwreck Island Water Park, the area’s only water park. Looking for something out of the ordinary try Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Take a sightseeing trip, an airboat ride or a helicopter tour. Get lost in the Grand Maze at Coconut Creek or play some mini-golf at Barnacle Bay. Looking to keep your game on track, try one of Panama City Beach’s golf spots. With a total of five championship courses, Golf Digest dubbed Panama City Beach one of America’s top three golf towns.

Frank Brown Park, with over two hundred acres dedicated to outdoor recreation facilities, has something for the whole family. They offer, playgrounds, picnic areas, saltwater fishing pier, freshwater youth fishing lake, greenways and trails open to the public year round. Some of the facilities available at the park include: Tennis courts, Outdoor basketball court, Shuffle-board courts, Indoor gymnasium, and Aquatic Center.

For the shoppers in the family, Pier Park is a must visit. At roughly 1 million square feet, this brightly colored gem features a combination of national chain stores and local favorites. Pier Park’s lineup includes , Ron Jon’s Surf Shop, Dillard’s, Target, Old Navy, Border’s Books & Music and many more. To tired to shop, see a movie at the Grand Theatre, grab lunch at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, check out Hofbrau Beer Garden, or have your favorite coffee drink at Starbucks.
