BP Oil Spill Expected To Miss Panama City Beach
By Chad Miller | May 6, 2010
BP Oil spill expected to miss Panama City Beach but we are already feeling the effects. Local condominium owners have seen a steady stream of rental cancellations. Realtors are reporting potential buyers putting their buying plans on hold to see the outcome of the oil slick. The good new is oceanographers have predicted the oil slick will get caught up in the Gulf Stream and miss Panama City Beach all together.

Unfortunately we have had MANY rental cancellations – 5 in one day last week alone. Most are saying they just don’t want to take a chance. The strange thing is that many of them are moving to the Atlantic side, and today’s news predicts that it might go there instead of here. Maybe they will come back!

I would appreciate you sending me the updates on the oil spill related to Panama City Beach. We have vacationed there for 50 years now, and plan on being back this summer, regardless of where the oil goes.
Thanks so much….

We are planning on being in PCB 7/3/10 – oil or no oil. Any updates on the oil spill would be greatly appreciated. My husband has been going to PCB every summer for 45 years, and now our family has been going for 17 years. We love it there.
