Southwest Airlines Coming To Panama City Airport

Although news about where the flights will go haven’t been detailed, Southwest Airlines is coming to the new Bay County International airport! Yes, at around noon today, airport officials confirmed that Southwest will service the new airport. WMBB News Channel 13 states that the company flies more than 500 Boeing 737 aircraft between 67 cities; and, now that they’re coming here, that’s bumped to 68. This is such great news because this opens up Panama City and Panama City Beach to more markets than ever before. In addition it brings cheaper flights — who wouldn’t be happy?
