Video: Panama City Beach Pier Gets A Much-needed Facelift

The new Panama City Beach pier, also known as the Dan Russell Pier, has been undergoing renovations for quite some time. In the latest video from PCBDaily, Cebo Campbell shows off the new 1,500-foot pier that looks weeks away from completion. The new pier is 29-foot longer, 17-foot wider, and 8 feet taller than the previous one. It has added stability and new wood walkways that simply wash ashore if a storm ever hits it.
The fun and games don’t end their either. By next spring, Cebo reports that a new 300-foot boardwalk will be added that, when coupled with Pier Park and the new Panama City Beach Pier, could create a new downtown Panama City Beach area. This new boardwalk will make way for a ticket booth, restaurant, tackle and bait store, public restrooms, and an outdoor seating area with umbrellas.
