ZooWorld Has No. 2 on Animal Planets ‘Animal Odd Couple’

If you haven’t been to Zoo World, now’s the time. According to Zoo World, Tonda, a 50 year old orangutan, is the oldest registered U.S. orangutan in captivity. A couple of years ago, her mate, Yakut, passed away and the zookeepers decided to get her a kitten. Since then, the orangutan and cat have been inseparable and now are featured in the number two spot on Animal Planet’s “Weird, True and Freaky: Animal Odd Couples.”
Of the seven couples featured, Tonda and Tonda’s Kitty (T.K.), managed to capture the esscense of true friendship. Both have been featured on Good Morning America as well. So, what are you waiting for? We have a local celebrity - time to go to Zoo World!
