Panama City Beach 2008 Fall Events

An assortment of events will be on display as Panama City Beach moves into the Fall season. It’s time to gather your friends, family members and co-workers for tons of activities located around the beach.

November 3rd though the 9th is the Emerald Coast Cruizin’ Car Show. This will be the place the be for fans of the old muscle cars, hot rods and street rods. The 2007 show was a huge success and had over 100 of the top vendors and, of course, 2,400 cars on display. This year will be bigger and better as the 2008 Emerald Coast Cruizin’ car show will host its annual event at Frank Brown Park (right next to Pier Park) and display 3,000 of the best automobiles in the country.

November 7th will be a day to wine and dine as the regions new voice, The Beach, descends to Pier Park for one day to get a Taste of THE Beach. The traveling event will showcase international food and wine from places like South America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The cost of one ticket is $75.00. All proceeds will benefit the following charities: Sacred Heart Hospital, Brilliant Minds, Children’s Volunteer, Youth Village, Children in Crisis and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Can’t get enough of the growing number of fishing tournaments? Well, get ready for the 2008 Redfish Tour. The 2008 Inshore Fishing Association (IFA) is gathering the winners from 18 other tournaments for the championship of them all. On November 7th, the tournament will held at RiverCamps on Crooked Creek. The purse will be over $77,000 and the first place winner will receive a Ranger Ghost boat. Girls, grab your bat and head down to Panama City Beach’s Frank Brown Park from November 8th through the 9th for the USFA Girls Fastpitch Fall World Series.  The two hundred acre sports center will cater to hundreds of softball players as the World Series begins. Get your curve-ball ready! :-)

Last, but definitely not least, November 14th through the 16th the Bay County Visual Arts Center will be hosting the 2008 Madonnaro Street Painting Festival at Pier Park. The festival, now in its 3rd year, will feature street paintings by professional and armature artists.
