Friday Fest Today in Panama City
By Troy Steuwer | September 5, 2008
As the subject says, today is the first Friday of the month and that means it’s Friday Fest in downtown Panama City!
Here is the rundown of bands that will be performing tonight at the event:
Twice Daily – at the 4th Street stage
Dashboard Chihuahuas – at the 5th Street stage
Slideshow – at the 6th Street stage
Grasscutters – at the Gateway Park
Margo Anderson – at Beach Drive
In addition, there are many booths with food, crafts, and my personal favorite, art galleries. If your looking for a lot of fun and a great place to hang out on a beautiful Friday night, join us in the historic downtown Panama City from 6:00pm to 10:00pm!
UPDATE – I’ve just been informed that artist Heather Clements will be showing off her new exhibit titled “Portraits.” Stop by the Perlman’s UnReal Artist Gallery over at 839 Oak Ave!

Don’t know if you’re aware, but Pyramid, Inc moved to Harrison Ave just a couple of months ago or so… They’re a school for folks with developmental disabilities (previous term was “mentally retarded”, if that helps – you know how it is, have to keep the terms up to date
) — reason I’m mentioning this is that they have an art gallery for things the students have made (many for sale – profits go to the students to help them in life), and they’re open for First Friday. Pyramid is next door to Leitz Music on the north end of Harrison… Please forgive me if this posting isn’t wanted, but especially since you mentioned liking art galleries, I thought I might speak up.

Isaac, that’s awesome! Do you have a link to their website? If so, please post it! Also, are you going to be at Friday Fest tonight? If so, I may see you there
