Grand Lagoon National Fishing Tournament - $1 Million In Prizes

The Bay Point Annual Billfish Tournament may be over and done, but the fishing tournaments haven’t ended.
The Grand Lagoon National (GLN), another Panama City Beach fishing tournament, is scheduled to begin on August 20th, 2008. According to business owners dotting the lagoon, “It’s going to be the grandest fishing tournament in the United States.” Bill Spann, the founder of the Bay Point Invitational, will be at the event serving as the tournaments Chairman and has noted in a press release that he is planning on handing out $1 million to the winners.
According to the GLN website, the tournament is actually eight rolled in to one as they are trying to appeal to all saltwater enthusiast. From Blue Marlin to Amberjack, fisherman will have the chance to go after whichever game they choose.
