Laketown Wharf Condos Ready to “WOW” Buyers

After a visit to Laketown Wharf Condominiums this morning, Troy and I have now watched a grand idea on paper become a reality. The development, which I believe is now about 80% complete, is ready to “wow” condo buyers.
Laketown Wharf was built by Jerry Wallace (JW). He has built other condominium and resorts around the United States such as Shores of Paradise, Hidden Bay and Perdio Del Sol. JW has used every idea imaginable to build the most amenity packed resort condominium in Panama City Beach, FL.
The resort is coming along very nicely with the rooftop pool now being complete, the third and forth story gyms are furnished and the relaxation roof is as gorgeous as ever. The lakeside boardwalk seems 100% complete, and we can’t wait to see who they bring in for concerts. The main pool area, located off of Thomas Dr, is almost ready to be filled with water. We have heard the 22nd floor commercial space is going to be an owners club, however, this has yet to be verified.

this project is a disaster, and in my opinion will most likely experience significany buyer defaults…it was priced near the peak of the market to speculators/flippers who can no longer receive mortgages as 2nd home buyers. The glut of supply in Panama City will pressure prices for years. What will maintenance/HOA fees be when 1/2 of the building lies empty?
