Wall Street Journal Says “The Housing Crisis Is Over”

By admin | May 8, 2008

So do you think the “housing crisis is over?” Here are a couple of quotes from the article:

By CYRIL MOULLE-BERTEAUX
May 6, 2008; Page A23 of the Wall Street Journal

“The dire headlines coming fast and furious in the financial and popular press suggest that the housing crisis is intensifying. Yet it is very likely that April 2008 will mark the bottom of the U.S. housing market. Yes, the housing market is bottoming right now.

How can this be? For starters, a bottom does not mean that prices are about to return to the heady days of 2005. That probably won’t happen for another 15 years. It just means that the trend is no longer getting worse, which is the critical factor.” Read the rest of this entry »

Going Green

By shirleyscruggs | April 16, 2008

So what it mean?

“Going green”……..No, it doesn’t mean that you are turning “green with envy” that your friend just got a good deal on a condo while you were waiting for the prices to drop further! :-)

Going green is the new wave of building standards that consider the home efficiency, appliance economy and construction considerations regarding solar and other green advantages that influence the efficiency of the home. There’s no doubt that “going green” will be a term we will hear a lot in the future, if not now, as more builders are giving buyers what they want.

If you’re interested in learning more about how you can go green, or are interested in how you can save more money on your utility bills, here are a couple of links that can help you out.

Rosemary Beach, The New Frontier

By admin | April 11, 2008

There are many distinct places in Northwest Florida to buy real estate. Many share common amenities and community themes, however, there are places beyond the ordinary that embrace their own culture.

Rosemary Beach RoadOne such place our team has always enjoyed is Rosemary Beach, Florida. Encompassing roughly 105 acres and located near Seaside, this outdoor community goes beyond the scope of any other destination in the area. Rosemary Beach was founded in 1995 by the highly regarded design and development firm, Duany Plater Zyberk & Company. This husband-and-wife team specializes in a new movement called “New Urbanism.” The primary goal of new urbanism is to maintain a walkable community which contains its own housing and employment areas. When you visit Rosemary Beach, you’ll be in complete awe of how different the atmosphere is when compared to other communities in the area. Read the rest of this entry »
